Coming Soon: EZLynx Reporting Provides New Features for Package Customers

We are excited to announce several new features coming soon to EZLynx Reporting. Certain package levels will be eligible to upgrade and receive these new reporting features.   • Drill Through Capabilities in all Summary Reports
  • New Master Report Features including Crosstabs (i.e. Pivot Tables) and custom Formulas

Customizable Dashboards

Our customizable Dashboard, first revealed at our AgentLynx User Conference, is coming soon! To access your Dashboard, hover over the reporting icon in the left-hand navigation and click the “My Dashboard” link at the top of the sidebar.
EZLynx Reports Dashboards

The Dashboard has a library of 200+ “panels” that we have already created for you! You can add these panels to your dashboard at the click of a button, then rearrange these, add tabs, if you can dream it, you can do it! You can even create your own panels using our Master Reports.

To create your own, custom, dashboard panels, simply navigate to any Master report, create your custom chart or summary table and click the Dashboard icon to add the panel to your Dashboard. This will make it available in your panel library and will also add it to the top left corner of your Dashboard. You can download our Dashboard Guide here.

Drill Through Capabilities in all Summary Reports

Have you ever taken a look at one of the Summary Reports and wanted to see more details? With our new Drill Through Reporting, available with our Advanced and Enterprise packages, all you need to do is click in any of the Summary Report charts or tables and more details will pop-up!

For those customers that are enabled for this feature, if I click on one of the bars in the Book of Business Summary report:

How do I know if I have access to Drill Through?

It is hard to tell at first if you have access to Drill Through reporting, so we have added a disclaimer at the top of each Summary Report to let you know if the feature is currently available with a quick link to our Drill Through training document.

If you see the blue bar (above) on any of your summary reports, then you can click on any chart or table to see more details. If you do not see the bar above, contact your sales representative to learn more!

New Master Report Features

We have also added a few new and exciting features to our already power-packed Master Reports. The first is a new “Formulas” tab that will allow users to create their own, formula-generated column in the report.

This feature allows your data guru’s to add almost any SQL command into the formula box. The “Formula Help” link in the top right corner of this tab outlines all of the tools available.

Even more exciting, is the addition of “Crosstabs,” more commonly known as Pivot Tables. These tables allow you to have dynamic data in both the rows and the columns of the report. As you can see in the example below, you can see the number of Quotes by Line of Business and by the Year. Another commonly requested report that could be created this way is to see the number of Quotes by Agent and by Carrier.

The options are limitless! And as we mentioned before, once this table is set up, you can simply click the Dashboard icon to make this Crosstab table available to add to your custom Dashboard! You can download our Master Reports guide here.

Report Scheduling

Our last, but definitely not least, feature is report Emailing & Scheduling. This long awaited feature will be available soon for select package holders. These users now have the ability to email a report, set a future time to email a report or set up an automatic, reoccurring emailed reports. Simply click the clock icon to see the pop-up below.

You may also manage your existing scheduled reports by logging in to EZLynx, hovering over the reporting icon in the left navigation and selecting “Scheduled Report Management” from the sidebar. You can download our Report Emailing and Scheduling Guide here.


New Administrator Privileges Available in EZLynx Reporting

At last year’s AgentLynx Conference, one of the most highly requested reporting features was for Administrators to have the ability to save reports for specific users or departments. We are excited to announce that the wait is over! Beginning July 2017, admin’s will have a new workflow to save and share reports, enabling them to save reports for only specific users. See below for details.

Report Basics: Save a Report

Once a report is customized by applying any combination of report criteria filters, it can be saved for future use.

  • Click the floppy disk icon on the top right of the page
  • Enter a report name & description
  • Once saved, the report is displayed in Saved Reports on the right of Standard Reports
  • Follow the steps below to share the report with one or more users

Report Admins: Share a Report

Once a report has been saved, if you have the appropriate permissions, you may share this report with one or more users.

  • On the report menu, locate the report that you would like to share in the “Saved Reports” column
  • Click the sharing icon
  • In the pop-up (pictured below), click the add user icon next to all of the users that you would like to have access to that specific saved report
  • As the report is shared with additional users, they will appear listed in the “Shared With” section that the bottom of the report
  • Click the “X” in the top right corner when you are done

Report Admins: Modify Reports

Once a saved report has been created, the report owner may modify the users, name, and description at any time using the tools available from the report menu. They may also delete the report at any time; however, this will delete the report for all users and deleted reports cannot be recovered.

Leverage EZLynx Reporting for your Email Marketing Campaigns

EZLynx Email CampaignsGet ready for our upcoming update to EZLynx Email Campaigns in the next few weeks, which includes a completely renovated process for segmenting your existing data for bulk email blasts.

We have been very pleased with the extensive enhancements that have been made so far this year to EZLynx Reporting; so much so that we felt the power of our reporting engine far outstripped our separate email campaign list builder.

As a result, this upcoming update will replace the existing list builder with Saved Reports from EZLynx Reporting. Take advantage of the powerful capabilities of our reporting engine to segment your data using both simple or highly complex filters. Once you have saved the report, it will be available for you to use within EZLynx Email Campaigns, which is part of our Communication Center bundle.

When you start a new campaign, your first step will be to name the campaign and select your recipients. You will be able to manually add individual recipients, select from your available Saved Reports, or choose from one of your static lists that you may have created from within EZLynx Retention Center or from the old list builder tool.

Your old lists will still be available to use, but any new or future lists will have to be created from within EZLynx Reporting as a Saved Report.

By making it possible to use our reporting engine to segment your data for Email Campaigns, we have brought a new level of accuracy to your email marketing. We are also excited about the new possibilities it brings, as there are many more filter options available in EZLynx Reporting than we had in our previous list builder.

This Update is Only the Beginning

While this update allows you to use your Saved Reports for campaigns, those campaigns are still using a static version of the report at the time you scheduled the campaign.  While not a big deal for short-term campaigns that are sent immediately, if your campaign has steps that are scheduled throughout the year, your list could get seriously out of date by the time the campaign finishes.

This has always been a problem for any email campaign service that relies on saved or uploaded lists, but we are excited to announce that our Email Campaigns update later this year is going to take your static lists and make them dynamic, allowing you to run Drip Campaigns using your Saved Reports and have those campaigns automatically update in real time before each email is sent.

Imagine being able to have a campaign that sends an email to your prospects every 3 months and automatically removes those recipients that become customers as a result. Schedule a recurring, long-term cross-sell campaign to all your customers that have an active homeowners policy but no auto policy and rest easy knowing that our system will automatically add or remove recipients to the campaign based on whether or not they still meet that criteria. The possibilities are endless, and this is just one of several very exciting enhancements planned for EZLynx Communication Center this year!


EZLynx Reporting Gets Supercharged, New Tools for Deeper Analysis

EZLynx, an industry-leading Agency Management System and Comparative Rating vendor for the independent insurance industry, announces new reporting tools to increase the usability of information provided within their ONE PLATFORM™ suite. These enhancements include optimizations and new features that will benefit agencies who want to take full advantage of their system to make intelligent, data-driven business decisions.

The Applicant Summary Report shows agents demographic information on their current policy holders. This report includes valuable information like Active Policies and Average Premium per Customer as well as summary statistics on gender, education level, and marital status.

Coming Soon to EZLynx Reporting

The ability to Email a report to your colleagues without leaving the reports page is coming soon and will help with large files that take a long time to export. With this feature you can have the report emailed to you and your coworkers so that you can continue working while the export process runs.

Scheduled Reports is a new feature that will enable a report to run on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. You will no longer have to log in to the reports page to run the same report each month; simply have it scheduled to be delivered to your inbox!
