Our Strategy with EZLynx Connect

A Note from the CEO

I am sure by now many of you have heard of EZLynx Connect®. I thought this would be a good time to explain what EZLynx Connect is, and isn’t, as we shift our focus towards 2021.

EZLynx started as a single product solution back in 2005. Over the years, with the addition of several products, we have become the EZLynx One Platform®. This was by design and the result of a vision we laid out about five years ago. Agents can now come to EZLynx and get basically every feature and functionality necessary to run their business. Simply put, we are a one-stop shop for all your agency technology needs.

Outside EZLynx, the world is changing too. We listen carefully to our customers in an effort to fit our products to their needs. Sometimes, we get requests to build various niche solutions in EZLynx that, if developed up to our standards, could sometimes take focus away from development of our core products. Some of these solutions are already available from third-party vendors, however, and increasingly more of you are asking for integrations with these vendors in the platform. It quickly became obvious to us that we needed to create an eco-system in which vendors could seamlessly integrate their products and services with EZLynx to better meet your needs.

EZLynx Connect is the solution. We officially announced EZLynx Connect at our AgentLynx User Conference in 2019. It’s a new way to enable third-party vendors to build an integration on their own without much help from us. This streamlines the process, allowing faster development, and it empowers our customers to directly ask vendors they like to integrate with the EZLynx platform. EZLynx has a long history as an innovative company with leading-edge products; not surprisingly, we are the first to offer this kind of vision in our industry. This is not a radical or innovative idea, however, as it has been implemented in several popular platforms, such as Salesforce.

EZLynx Connect is both a technical architecture and a business platform. Using the EZLynx Connect APIs, third-party vendors can leverage our distribution potential to offer their products and services to more than 20,000 agents who use EZLynx every day. Everyone benefits. Integrations available today in EZLynx Connect include life insurance products, VoIP (internet telephony) services, credit card processing, and more. We have several other third-party integrations in development to be released in the next few quarters. Keep checking our monthly NewsLynx email to stay up to date.

Our goal is to make sure our customers have access to many of the best solutions available in the market to run their agencies. EZLynx Connect will help you sell more products, communicate with your customers more effectively, and service them more efficiently. It is our hope this will benefit both agency top and bottom-line numbers. As an agent, you will be able to review all the vendors available in our Connect Marketplace and select integrations you want to enable for your agency or users. EZLynx’s legal and security teams review Connect vendors who receive sensitive consumer information to give you additional peace of mind. Some vendors may require you to agree to separate legal contracts or terms of service and pay the stated license fees before the integration will be enabled, and additional terms may apply as provided in the legal terms portal on our website.

Our focus for 2021 is all about Connect. We will continue to add more and more vendors to the Connect Marketplace, and some of these integrations will allow you to sell additional insurance products, like pet insurance, auto warranty, and much more, while other integrations will help you automate your communication to the customers by email, phone, or text. I am confident this should excite you, the EZLynx user, because we are thrilled with the possibilities in the years ahead.

Agents can now easily quote flood insurance to their clients instantly without double-entry or leaving EZLynx software.

Flood Risk Solutions places primary and excess flood insurance programs on behalf of select insurance partners across the U.S., providing more flood options than any other technology platform. The addition of this service to EZLynx’s portfolio of Connect Partners gives independent agents more opportunities to cross-sell to their clients directly from the Comparative Rater, allowing them to earn more commissions.

EZLynx Partners with Clearent to Offer Secure Online Payment Processing for Independent Insurance Agencies and Their Clients

New integration answers the call for remote, contactless payment method.

EZLynx is proud to announce that it has partnered with Clearent to offer secure online payment processing for independent insurance agencies. Insureds can remit payments via credit card or eCheck easily and securely within EZLynx Client Center.

This new integration provides a simple way for agents to collect electronic payments from their clients. With current restrictions on travel and face-to-face meetings, providing a remote, contactless form of payment is particularly important. This added functionality to EZLynx Client Center eliminates the need for clients to visit the agent’s office or provide their credit card information over the phone. Electronic payment is also a safer, more efficient alternative to paper checks.

EZLynx Introduces Integration with Secure24 Alarms for ADT Home Alarm Systems

EZLynx is proud to announce its partnership with Secure24 Alarms for ADT Home Alarm Systems. Now agents can easily cross-sell home security to interested shoppers from within the EZLynx Rating Engine and earn commissions.

This new integration acts as a lead generator for clients interested in learning about ADT Home Alarm Systems. Secure24 Alarms contacts the prospect to provide more information and manage the complete sales process. When a lead results in a sale, the agent earns a commission. There is no cost to the agent for this new feature, only opportunities to earn more.

The entire process is kicked off with a single button press. During the normal quoting process, agents will find ADT Home Alarm Systems conveniently located within the “ADD VALUE TO YOUR QUOTE” section of EZLynx Rating Engine.

Client Center Enhancements

EZLynx Client Center has been updated in several ways, with a focus on making customer self-service easier and more convenient.

There are two new ways to promote Client Center to your clients.

  • Initiate a Client Center Email Campaign with a single click. The campaign will automatically apply a Client Center template to the email, containing a link for customers to access your Client Center portal. Agents will be able to set scheduling parameters for the email campaign.
  • Provide a link to Client Center as a personalization Tag within an email. This option inserts your agency’s Client Center portal URL into any email campaign template. We recommend adding it to your email signature on all campaign templates. This will help your customers conveniently access Client Center.

When you remind insureds that online customer self-service is available 24/7, everyone wins!

We’ve also enhanced the client experience with a new interface and simplified workflows. Insureds and prospects will immediately notice the improvement. From the landing page, Quick Menu options will direct them to the most used features. And the associated pages have been enhanced for more straightforward usability.

  • The Policies page has a streamlined look and feel. Insureds can easily identify the policy they are looking for and understand their policy coverages and limits.
  • The Documents page displays more pertinent information for the client, making file sharing even easier.
  • It’s never been easier for customers to submit Policy Change Requests for their personal and commercial lines policies. The change request options are clearly highlighted, saving them a phone call to your agency.
  • The Certificates generation workflow is now even smarter. These new changes encourage your insureds to generate certificates themselves, instead of always requesting them from your agency.

Life Insurance Quotes Now Available Through Client Center

Your clients can now obtain Life Insurance quotes through EZLynx Client Center. This latest development is an extension of our partnership with BackNine Insurance, made possible through the new EZLynx Connect program.

Many of you are already enjoying access to Life Insurance rates through the Quote Results page in EZLynx 5. Now, we’ve added the option for your clients to proactively request a quote through the Client Center portal.

Clients will be asked a series of questions from BackNine. The system will return a list of monthly term life premiums, based on the insured’s health. BackNine will also communicate the lead to your agency, so you can follow up with the prospect.

To take advantage of this new cross-selling feature, enable BackNine integration from Connect Market Place. You will be asked to enter your National Producer Number (NPN) to verify your credentials with BackNine Insurance. Once an Assigned Agent has enabled BackNine Insurance, their customers will begin seeing this new quote feature as they log in to Client Center.

Secure24 – ADT Home Alarm Integration

EZLynx is proud to announce this new integration with Secure24 Alarms. Agents now have the opportunity to cross-sell home alarm systems to interested shoppers. This integration acts as a lead generator to Secure24 Alarms, who will then contact the insured regarding their interest in home alarm systems.

There is no cost to the agent for this integration. If a lead you provide results in a sale, you will be paid a commission.

This feature is the latest addition to the EZLynx Connect program. It is currently available only within EZLynx 5.

EZLynx Virtual Agent (Eva)

Welcome “Eva” to your agency staff!

EZLynx Virtual Agent leverages machine learning and natural language processing to make your agency smarter, faster and more capable for customer response.

Eva works in conjunction with EZLynx Text Messaging to answer simple customer requests and create follow-up tasks for your agency. Eva monitors your incoming text messages for the types of customer requests she’s been designed to perform. When she’s capable of providing assistance, she responds to the customer.

Today, Eva can provide insureds with their Auto ID Card, as well as help with Coverage, Vehicle, or Driver Information. If your agency has EZLynx Client Center, she will direct them to the portal for faster customer service.

We are continuously working to improve the quality of Eva’s responses. To better help her learn what agents need, we are offering Eva free to anyone with EZLynx Texting through the end of the year. Put Eva to work for your agency and its clients today!

Admins can enable Eva from the Communication Center menu.

Zapier Integration Now Available

We are pleased to announce that the EZLynx Sales Center Zapier Integration is now Generally Available. This integration makes it possible to automate applicants in EZLynx from 2,000+ apps.

We’ve also made a few enhancements from the previous Beta version. These enhancements include additional Outbound Trigger Fields, additional Inbound Action Fields, and a new Birthday Field Definition for Outbound Triggers.

There is also a new enablement process. You will no longer need an App Secret to start setting up a Zap. Instead, all you need is your EZLynx username and password to connect.

This integration requires either Sales Center or a license to the Sales Center API. Contact your EZLynx Sales Representative for more information.

NOTE: Because of significant updates to the Zapier app, it is not possible to automatically migrate existing Zaps to the new version. If you currently have running Zaps, you will need to recreate them with the new version within the next three months.

EZLynx Client Center: Foster Happier and More Profitable Customers

We are making some big improvements to EZLynx Client Center. Client Center has long been a staple of the EZLynx ONE PLATFORM. The portal provides the online customer experience insurance shoppers have grown to expect from their agent. Insureds can access policies, submit change requests, view their ID Cards and generate certificates from anywhere—even on the side of the road.

With the release this month we will make some key enhancements to the product, with a focus on making customer self-service easier and more convenient. We also made the product even more profitable for your agency. We have enhanced the product in three key areas:

  1. Life Insurance Quoting
  2. Promoting Client Center to Customers
  3. Updated Client Experience

Life Insurance Quoting

As agencies look for ways to expand sales opportunities with their existing customer base, Life Insurance should be an obvious choice. EZLynx Client Center now makes the process straightforward and at the customer’s convenience.

Many of you are already enjoying access to Life Insurance rates through the Quote Results page in EZLynx 5. Now, we’ve added the option for your clients to proactively request a quote through the Client Center portal. This feature works in both EZLynx 4 and EZLynx 5.

This latest development is an extension of our partnership with BackNine Insurance, made possible through the new EZLynx Connect program.

If your agency has been upgraded to EZLynx 5, you will also see the new Client Center Email Campaign icon.

  • Provide a link to Client Center as a personalization Tag within an email.
    You can also provide a link to Client Center with a personalization Tag. This option inserts your agency’s Client Center portal URL into any email campaign template.

Updated Client Experience

We’ve also enhanced the client experience with a new interface and simplified workflows. Insureds and prospects will immediately notice the improvement.
