EZLynx Integrated Carrier Questions (ICQ)

Flower Mound, TX, October 6, 2009 - We are pleased to announce the release of EZLynxTM Integrated Carriers Questions (ICQ). ICQ represents a new time-saving workflow change to EZLynxTM. Agents now have the ability to answer carrier specific questions directly within the EZLynxTM auto/home data entry screens. This prevents the agent from getting interrupted with the questions while actually submitting the data for quoting. This feature is designed to save time, minimize interruptions, and prevent agents from having to answer the same question for multiple carriers.
To begin using the new Integrated Carrier Question workflow:
- Start your Applicant information on the Details screen as usual and then go to the line of business you will be quoting (auto/home).
- Click on the Rating Tab of your line of business and select the Carriers you would like to Rate with.
- Continue through remaining quote tabs answering the carrier questions along the way. You will notice that some fields in EZLynxTM that were not previously required will now be required depending on the carriers you have selected.
- You will also notice that in some cases the question you are answering will be used for responding to multiple carriers at the same time. There is a legend at the bottom of your page that shows you what the different notations mean. In addition, most questions have associated help text. If you had set a default answer (My Account tab > Set Carrier Defaults tab), you will be able to see that by hovering over the help icon for the given question.

There is now a new Carriers Tab at the end of the process. This tab contains any additional carrier questions that may have been produced by the previous answers, during the quoting process.
Questions will only appear on this tab when all other information that is required on the other tabs has been filled in (indicated by the green "COMPLETE" flag in the upper right corner of your screen). You can see below that there is still missing information in other tabs and therefore no questions will appear.
The applicant data cannot be submitted to carriers for quoting unless all the fields marked as required have been answered (including those on the Carrier Tab). Should you come across any carrier questions that you do not have the answer to (such as agency code), simply click back to the Rating Tab and un-check the carrier(s).
You will still have the ability to submit to any additional carriers that were not selected up front. In addition you can still use the old workflow (being prompted for carrier questions at the end) by just checking “Unselect All” on the Rating Tab.
